Community Ministries

Adelaide Road has a number of social outreach programmes which will be enhanced and developed in the new building. Meanwhile they operate out of a variety of local venues:

• DOLEBUSTERS provides support, training and resources for people who have been out of work, and wish to get back into the work force. Supported by FAS and the VEC, a variety of classes are held in literacy, numeracy, typing and computing, and CV and counselling facilities are available. Dolebusters is open Mon-Fri 9.30am-4.30pm.

• PARENTS AND TODDLERS provides support for mums and dads with their pre school children in a loving and caring environment. Presently it meets Tuesday mornings 10am.

• PLAYGROUP had had to be put on ice while we are out of our church premises, but will make a comeback in new state of the art purpose built facilities in 2002.
